Koko Concert set to rock Lagos December 27; Singing bird, Ibiso drops Still Here Koko Concert set to rock Lagos December 27 D'BANJ and the entire Mo'Hits Crew will set Lagos on fire, literally, on Tuesday, December 27 as the Lagos edition of this year Koko Concert series holds.  Billed to hold at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island from 7pm, the show will feature D'banj, Don Jazzy,  Dr Sid, D' Prince, Wande Coal and K Switch.

Nigerian music superstars, D’Banj, Naeto C and M.I have are set to take part in MTN’s Power of 10 Concert. MTN Power of 10 Concert is a 10 city concert celebrating MTN’s decade of mobile telecommunication services in Nigeria. The Power of 10 Concert would last for a month as it moves round the country. The musical celebration starts on September 9th and will end on October 9th 2011 in Lagos. The ten cities include; Lagos, Makurdi, Enugu, Calabar, Port- Harcourt, Ilorin, Abuja, Owerri, Benin and Ibadan. Other acts scheduled to perform are Sound Sultan, Dr. Sid, Ras Kimono, 9ice, Flavour, Iyanya Waconzy, Adewale Ayuba, Tiwa Savage, J. Martins, Omawumi, Sean Tero, D’ Prince, Olamide, KAS and others. The singing duo recently described the way some of their colleagues in Nigerian entertainment industry go about doing collabo with international artists as nothing but colonial mentality.  At a press conference which was held in the London, Psquare said    "If you are taking me to a club to listen to western music, forget it I wont go there     Don't be deceived by this collabo thing...cause they are trying to tap from us     If you don't open the doors for us, we would shut our door.     I don't need to do a collabo with somebody before you can start playing my music there (abroad), we play your songs in Nigeria, did you do a collabo with anybody?     We don't need no collaboration from no artist, we don't need no Jay Z, we don't need no Kanye West !"  Obviously,Psquare was referring to D'banj's new collabo with Snop Dog and his new deal with Kanye West record company. It was tribute without end last Sunday as O’jez Entertainment Centre, National Stadium, Lagos, played host to founder and CEO of HiTV Nigeria, Toyin Subair, in its monthly O’jez Entertainment Forum in collaboration with the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN.
